I am looking for Ruffus Sanford. I know that he had children and married in the 1870's in Shelby but I also 'just know' he has to be there before then. I am looking for him or a parent, sibling etc. He used the Harvey name on at least 2 of his kids ( their middle name is Harvey) and one son is Absolum. I would love to hear from anyone researching in Shelby even if you dont think you are part of Ruffus line cause if you can identify one of the families in the 1850-1860 census' that will help :) I cant identify them and its all that much harder becuase they used initials! Ruffus did marry Joanna Jane Eaves in 1871 and they had a passel of kids. I am confused as to where Ruffus started out adn why he is so hard to find. ????? Michelle Coan Byerly Jasper, Texas
