There were SANFORD & SANDFORD families in Greenville District & Pendleton District beginning as early as 1790. Those in Pendleton were later in Pickins as Pendleton was disestablished. Some may have moved from Pickens to GA with CHAMBERS, COBB, DICKSON & PITTS families. I have not came across a George Sanford that I can recall though.
