What records I've found indicate that my Sanfords came from SC, but I don't know where. By the time anyone I know about came along, they were in Pickens Co., GA. My gr gr grandfather, Noel Sanford, and his parents, Hezekiah and Dolly Jane Latham Sanford, were there as early as 1850. Hezekiah and Dolly are buried in Crossroads Baptist Cemetery in Elijay, Gilmer Co, GA.
