Warren, The most volumnous "Sanford Book" only has records to before 1911 (when it was printed.) You can probably get the next generation for your Warren H Sanford by locating either a birth or death certificate. These records might be obtained either from the town hall where he died, or (failing that) from the Social Security Administration. Click on the "SS-5 Letter" link in the right column of the SSDI record (see <ssdi.rootsweb.com>), for information on how to write for them. Once you have his parents, try this list again and one of us will look them up.

Edward possibly has a brother Charles Edgar Sanford, not sure on that though. Edward and Sarahs children are Hattie Sanford, Preston Sanford, Maggie Sanford Osbourne Fonda Sanford Laudermilk Henry Sanford, and Walker Sanford. Preston is my gg grandfather born 6-4-1896, died 7/1977. At a rut and seeking anyone that would have any info or is somehow connected to this family, also believe that Edward and Sarah are both buried in West Virginia, but having problems finding the cemetary, any suggestions would also greatly be appreciated.

He was born Aug 13, 1923 and died June 26, 1993. He married a Bernadine Jeanette Van Horn who was born on April 22 1907 and died Feb 1982. I once met a girl from Nova Scotia Canada who told that her family owned a Sanford book that listed these names and was able to trace the family all the way back. I have nothing before these dates. Hi Deb, John, and other interested descendants of Robert and Thomas Sanford, I think you should be aware of the following: There is definitely a controversy about Ann Adams being a daughter of Jeremy Adams. Several sources say Robert Sanford married Ann Adams, daughter of Jeremy and Rebecca (Baseden), the widow Greenhill, Adams. Anderson, in the Great Migration Begins says no. Carlton Sanford, in the Thomas Sanford Genealogy, says no. Barbour, in Families of Early Hartford says yes under Camp, Adams, and Sanford genealogies. One internet source <www.bementfamily.com> says Robert married Anne Greenhill in 1643 in Hartford. The above is what I have in my notes about Ann ??? Sanford. The Great Migration Begins tells of the controversey under Jeremy Adams entry. I have my genealogy with sources posted on Rootsweb and Ancestry.com. Search for Sanford, Robert. I am currently in the middle of a seasonal move, so all my notes are packed, except what is on my computer. My descent from Robert is through his daughter Mary who married John Camp. Their daughter Mary married Thomas Stoddard. Deb, if you look at my genealogy on line I think you will find we are cousins in more than one way.
