Although I don't have information on your couple, I do have Sanford families in McDonough Co., IL - and a Joel L. Sanford, born ca 1800 in NY. Joel had a son named Heman Lowell (HEMAN is correct spelling). There may be some connection here. Do you know any more about your Herman Sanford? This book covers newspaper articles, wedding, deaths, mini biographies, court records, cemetery records for most of the cemeteries in Medina Co., and much more.. from as early as 1830's to 1911. Although I am bound by certain rules by my publisher, I will send along the names of those who are listed: Beers, Delilah (Morgan), Julia (Rice), Rachel (Ackley). If you are interested in the book or would like me to look up another surname for you please let me know. Good luck in your search..I know I have spent hours just to find one piece of my family tree puzzle. Beverly Elizabeth
