    3. Subj: Scott Sanford From: Sanford [email protected] To: SSanfordG I've found some old records that help me date back somewhat. My Grandfathers name was John William Sanford. He was the son of Sam Sanford who's wife was Maggie Sanford. Maggie Sanford's maiden name was Maggie Crews (daughter of Margaret Howard and George Crews in Tenn. Maggie and Sam Sanford had 2 daughters and three sons.. one of which is my Grandfather John Sanford. Maggie was widowed before she met Sam Sanford. She was married to William J. Ellis who died from an accident in the winter of 1901-1902. Maggie had four children from her first marriage to which Sam Sanford raised when he married Maggie. Maggie Sanford died Dec 13, 1933. Maggie and Sam are buried at Edith Cemetery in Lauderdale County, Tenn. Hope this helps other Sanford's trace their relatives.

    3. I am gathering a more complete 'Descendant Record' of the descendants of David SANFORD (1711-1767), and Patience (Burrows) SANFORD. They m. in Stratfield, Ct., then lived at Wallingford, Ct., and later at Warwick, NY. All five sons were born in CT. from 1737 to 1747. David, Thomas, *John, Ephraim, and Ezra Sanford. This David SANFORD was a greatgrandson of 'Thomas the immigrant' from Eng. to MA, in the early 1630's. (On pages 118 and 119, in Vol. 1, of "Thomas Sanford" books, by Carlton Sanford, in 1911) If you are a descendant of ANY of the members of this family, or of any of their children or grandchildren, please contact me with descendant information. If you know of anyone who has information on this line, please advise me and I will contact them soon. Hopefully they have an Email address, usmail information is O.K. too, and I will follow it up for more descendant information than that already in the Sanford books. It's my hope to organize more complete family information to extend the present records of the Carlton Sanford accounts, on this David SANFORD line of descendants, for as many of our living cousins, as is possible. Thanking you in advance, I am hoping to hear from you by mail or email with your extended descendant records. John Sanford, of CA. 6223 Prospect Ave. San Jose, CA. 95129 [email protected]

I can check my 2 vols. of " Decendants of Thomas Sanford" for the names to see if we can link them. In my file I have Isaac b. 3-22-1763 son of Moses b. 5-7-1725 and no other info on Isaac but it may be in the book and we can get more info if this is the right one. 3. I am developing a more complete 'Descendant Record' of the descendants of Thomas SANFORD (1680-1757), and Hannah (Middlebrook) SANFORD (1680-1755), of Fairfield, CT. They had 10 children, all born (1703 to 1724) at Fairfield, CT. This Thomas SANFORD is a grandson of 'Thomas the immigrant' from England, in the early 1630's. (On pgs 102 and 117, of "Thomas Sanford the Emigrant to NE, etc.", by Carlton Sanford) If you are a descendant of ANY of the members of this family, or of any of their children or grandchildren, please contact me with descendant information. Of course, I will share what I have with you. Also, if you know of any living cousin who has information on this line, please advise me and I will contact them. Hopefully they will have an Email address, but USmail information is O.K. too, and I will follow it up for descendant information. It's my hope to organize this to extend the records of the Carleton Sanford records on this Thomas SANFORD line of descendants, to as many of our living cousins, as it is possible now. Thanking you in advance, and am hoping to hear from you. John Sanford of San Jose, CA.
