"They were cousins - he was son of Pleasant & Elizabeth (Edwards) Sandidge & a brother to the compiler's (Lapsley Whitlock) paternal & maternal grandmother Sandidge m. Creed Henry Craddock. Pleasant Edw. Sandidge was a doctor & was referred to by his elderly Crailhope cousins as Dr. Ed."
