I am still trying to sort out the various names for the lady (or ladies?) above. The marriage bond of Elizabeth Wright and Joseph Sandidge (1760-1826) is recorded in Louisa County on February 11, 1782, yet the same Joseph is said by many researchers and accepted references to have married Mary Shelton, dau. William Shelton and Lucy Harris. Does anyone know if there was an earlier marriage of Mary (Elizabeth?) Shelton to someone named Wright? TIA Ethel Smith
