    3. Rita and Others, David Sandidge (my cousin), and I are just beginning to research our line of the Sandidges. We have very little information to date, but have purchased the Ultimate Family Tree and are trying to find time to learn how to use it! We both live in Buena Vista, VA. In case you are wondering where we are, it's a small city located at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains. What we have so far is listed below and we are wondering if anyone can tie in with this information. We enjoy reading the information from Sandidge roots web and hope somehow we can start to see a tree form for us one day! My name is Mary Ellen Plogger and my address is 115 Linden Circle, Buena Vista, VA 24416 or my e-mail address is cplogger@cfw.com My great grandfather and David's great great grandfather was: William Anderson Sandidge (b) 10/10/1884; (d) 10/16/1931 He married Mary Elizabeth Wright (b) 2/1840 (d) 7/27/1923 He served in the Civil War, farmed in Amherst County and is buried at Asbury United Methodist Church Cemetery near the old CCC Camp at Oronoco. The ten children of William A. Sandidge and Mary Elizabeth Wright Sandidge are: Charles T. Sandidge (b) 2/16/1866 (d) ? Willie T. Sandidge (b) 6/19/1867 (d) ? (m) twice ? Alba O. Sandidge (b) 12/20/1868 (d) ? Sandy Taylor Sandidge (b) 2/8/1871 (d) 10/29/1941 Married Edith Kerr, had nine children Howard S. Sandidge (b) 6/22/1872 (d) ? Married Fanny Moneymaker, had four children Ernest S. Sandidge (b) 9/25/1874 (d) ? Married Maggie ? , had seven children Minnie Sandidge (b) 6/13/1877 (d) 10/14/1951 Married Mathias Ogden, had 10 children Maggie Sandidge (b) 2/8/1880 (d) ? Married Willis Tomin, had eight children Cameron Blair Sandidge (b) 3/25/1882 (d) 3/3/1983 (m) twice Married Florence Tomlin, daughter of Sara & Ben Tomlin, had five children; married Leana Coffey, had seven children Blanche Sandidge (b) 6/15/1886 (d) ? Married Charlie Ogden, had nine children It seems like it has taken us forever just to get what little information we have. I can't imagine how long some of you must have been working on your tree.
