The books are wonderful. The information included in the book is: a history of where and what battles/skirmishes the group encountered; and a list of every solider that served within that regiment. There are two Sandridges listed in the 19th Virginia Infantry. They are: 19th Virginia Infantry, p. 93: SANDRIDGE, JAMES J.: Cpl.; Co. E 5/20/61, Culpeper CH. Age 24, farmer. PVT. to 3Cpl. by 6/62. Pres. til wounded. Gaines Mill 6/27/62. Returned (date unknowned); MIA 7/3/63 Gettysburg but on last roll 8/64. SANDRIDGE, W.: Enl. 1/15/62 in Co. I,. Post war record only. Many of the men in Company E were from the Northern part of Albemarle County and Greene. Company I was mostly Amherst and Nelson. I highly recommend this series if you have any interest in researching your Confederate ancestors during the WBTS. Happy Hunting!!! Happy New Year!!!
