Hello, Cousins, Wishing you a happy and successful New Year. I lost all my email messages the second week of December so if any one wrote to me for info, please send again your request. We have 67 people signed up for the Sandidge list. We welcome all inquiries about your Sandidge and related ancestors. Also we have archives messages that you may retrieve from Rootsweb at http://searches.rootsweb.com/cgi-bin/listsearch.pl I saw a cousin of mine on another genealogy URL but her email address was no longer active. If anyone has "talked" to Crystal Sandidge with old address of CSandidge@aol.com and has her new one, please email it to me. I received the following info from BobM, mcclurera@email.msn.com. He gave me permission to post it to our list. He wrote: Barbara Wright Genealogical Researcher 150 Busy Baker Road Campbellsville, KY 42718 She's provided all the Sandidge information I have come by. However, a gentlemen: Bryan N. Cowherd 1249 Meadow Lane Frankfort, KY 40601 He wrote an article that appears in Green Co. Review, Vol. 14 #1, Fall 1990 entitled Cowherd Family Connections. "Pleasant Sandidge's grandmother, Elizabeth (Graves) Sandidge (1720-1826) came to Kentucky from Virginia on horseback at the ripe old age of 90 years. Her tombstone still stands in Green County. His great grandfather, William Sandidge, married Ann Taylor, daughter of John Taylor and his wife, Catherine Pendleton, a sister of the distinguished Virginia jurist, Judge Edmund Pendleton." Mr. Cowherd would be 75 today and it says he is with the Kentucky Heritage Council in Frankfort, and other distinguished organizations. I have not contacted him because Barbara now says others who agreed are now switching to Ann Pulliam." BobM goes on to talk about the Green County USGen Web site where other Sandidge researchers seem to be talking about Taylor Vs Pulliam. Rita
