    3. State of Virginia Albemarle County Deed Book 1764 - 1768 Deed Booik 3 pp 182 - 183. "This indenture made this nineteenth day of Septr. in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred sixty and one between Harden Burnley Gent of Hanover County of one part and JAMES SANDIDGE of Albemarle County witnesseth that Harden Burnley for sum of forty five pounds of good and lawful money of Virginia to him paid hath sold unto JAMES SANDIDGE and his heirs one tract of land lying in Alb. County on the north fork of Cunninghams Creek and bounded beginning at a pine in the above said Burnley's back line thence North & West to a pine in the sd Burnleys line thence south and west to pointers thence suoth & east to a pine thence north ten degrees east to the first station containing by estimation four hundred acres be the same more or less.... Prescence Peter Gillum, Hard. Burnley, John Durin, Green Richeson, John Smith at a court held for Albemarle County the tenth day of June 1762. This Indenture Memorandum & receipt were proved by the oath of Peter Gillum and at a court held for Albemarle County the Xith day of the same month the same were further proved by the oaths of John Durin & Green Richeson two other witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded." pp224-225 "This indenture made the fourteenth day of August 1765 between William Hamack of the County of Albemarle of one part & Alexander Baine of the County of Henrico Mercht. of other part witnesseth that said William Hamack for the sum of twenty eight pounds twelve shillings & one penny current money of Virginia paid by said Alexander Baine he the said William Hamack doth sell unto the said Alexander Baine a track of land in the County of Albemarle containing two hundred and ninety one acres of land bounded beginning at a whie oak on Thomas Terrys line thence along to Gillums line thence to WILLIAM SANDIDGE's line being the land and plantation whereon he now lives also one other tract of land in the same county on the head branches of Balengers Creek containing four hundred acres of land lying between the lands of....Hays, Giles Letcher & William Murrill being land purchased from Saml. Hendersonn & recorded by Pantent to have and to hold the said land provided that if the said William Hammack truly pay unto the said Alexander Baine the just sume of twenty eight pounds twelve shillings & one penny currcy. with interest from the date hereof by the first of August next ensueing that then these presents shall be void. In the presnce of Robt. Clark, Willliam W. Hammack, Samll. Woods, Richd. Woods,David Ross at Albemarle October Court 1765. This deed was proved by the Oaths of Robert clark,Samuel Woods & Richard Woods three of the witnesses thereto & ordered to be recorded". The end....
