They came over in the 1600's to America. If your ancestors emigrated to America in the 1600's there may not be a great deal of information prior to that time. However, what you would need to do is find where in England they were living and then look up Parish Records for that particular area. If, as your other message suggests, they lived in Sandwich, the church records for the Diocese of Canterbury (which includes Sandwich) are mainly housed at The Cathedral Archives at Canterbury Cathedral. You would need to contact them to see what registers they hold and then go through them. Alternatively, if you want a researcher in that part of Kent, I might be able to put you onto someone who has quite an extensive database. Presumably not all your ancestors emigrated and therefore you might find something in 2. above. If I can be of further assistance, please ask.
