I KNEW I had info on this Howell family -- found it after I sent message to the group -- so please disregard my previous request for help unless you have date and place of her death or death of Philip Howell, or his parentage. Here is what I found: Mary Elizabeth Sandage b Feb 5, 1811 Union co, SC and is the dau of Thomas Sandage Sr, b Feb 9, 1776. Thomas was married several times and Mary's mother is Nancy Simonson. Thomas was son of Nathan Sandage/Sandidge/Sandridge, b ca 175_ VA/SC. Philip Howell was b 1799 KY and d ca 1860 Perry Co, IN. If you have access to the book Descendants of Nathan and Mary Sandage, by Ms. Browning, the Philip & Mary Howell descendants are located in Chapter five, pg 169 thru 205. Shows they had 12 known children. Mary Howell, b 1840 marr Apr 27, 1856 to Joshua BENNETT, b 1829, and a brother to Rachel Bennett who also married into Sandage family (Ms Browning's book chap1) and Joshua was son of William Bennett and Rachel Litherland. Still need info on Joshua Bennett and Mary Howell's children, and other descendants including their death dates and places. My best, Judy M.
