My ancestors mostly came from Albermarle County, VA. I think the name Sandidge came from a mistake made by a census taker somewhere along the line. The reason I feel this way is that many of the first names and info are the same. My family also is descended from Coleman, Wood, Batten and Shoener. If you have any information, please write.
