My information shows that Nathan is the son of Benjamin Thurmond Sandidge who was the son of Stephen and also...that there is the strong possibility that Catherine Modena was probably the step mother to all of his children. One records seems to indicated that Nathan (or a Nathan) was married to Polly Lane, who possibility could have been the parents.........of all or some of Nathan's children. Dillard is an older brother to Benjamin Thurmond Sandidge. One of my cousins that help me to get interested in genealogy was the granddaughter of Benjamin Thurmonds son Thomas Hastings Sandidge. She married grandson of Pendleton Franklin...named also Thomas Hastings Sandidge. Thomas (her grandfather) and Pendleton were 1st cousins according to her records and she and her husband were third. Pendleton Franklin's father --Nathan and Thomas Hastings father -- Benjamin Thurmand ...were brothers and both sons of Stephen. Stephen left Virginia and is found on census in Franklin County Tenn. also with Benjamin Thurmond. Interested very much in your records and what you have to back your info up.
