Anyone on the list that can help me:- I am trying to find out what I can about William Henry SMITH born 1840 - Navigators Island (Samoa) as far as I can find out his Father was either Scottish or English and his Mother was, as the story goes a Samoan Chieftains Daughter, he was brought to Tasmania at about the age of 9 years, went to sea at an early age on various Whaling Ships and eventually became a Captain.
