Dear List-members, Samoa-L currently has 43 subscribers. When you post a message to the list, it goes to all 43 of us. Replies are set to default back to the list. Watch your reply address, if you do not want your reply to go back to the list. To SUBSCRIBE or to UNSUBSCRIBE add the word "request" to the rootsweb mailing list address. This works the same for all Rootsweb mailing list: example: SAMOA-L-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM If you are on the digest version, you substitute "D" for the "L" in the address. Example: SAMOA-D-REQUEST@ROOTSWEB.COM Keep in mind that the mechanics of the list are automated by computers at Rootsweb.com. As with all machines, though, sometimes things don't work right. If you have trouble subscribing, or unsubscribing, you can send a message to SAMOA-L-ADMIN@ROOTSWEB.COM. Or if sending a message to the list, put something in the subject line, "Karen, please help" or "Listowner, please help" to let others know they can delete the message. I will attend to it as soon as I see it. I have one disadvantage as that I do not have any Samoan ancestry and so am not as familiar with Samoan records as many of you are. I started the web page and mailing list as a service to get it started until someone more capable desires to take over the project, hence I remain more quietly in the background then do many list administrators.
