Try writing to the Motootua National Hospital in Apia. There is another hospital in Tuasivi, Savaii, but I don't know how long it has been there. Chances are, any records that old would have been rotted by the humidity, but you never know! Talofa lava!! my knowledge of Fale Molesi- or Molesi Supermarket was originally Morris Hedstrom Co Ltd I don't know the real story of the originator but what I heard was, it was originated in Fiji, but it is best to speak directly to the people who are running the business now, because what I know is, it is not only a Supermarket but it has a lot of other departments, like hardware, warehouse and many others. looking for information on Thomas heem or ah heem born Iva Western Samoa
Sorry don't know...
To whoever it was that replied re store in Samoa Thank you for looking out for me, I know it is a long shot, but there seems to be a lot of gaps in the MORESI story, this may solve one or two. Regards Joan Vivian turoar@swanhill.net.au Searching for MORESI,TURIN, CAMPANA, CAMOZZI, JENKYN, HOLMES, JUDD, VIVIAN.
I am new to this list and would like to know if anyone can help me with a query. My family of MORESI came to Australia in 1854 from Switzerland. There are families of Moresi in New Zealand and I am told they came from Samoa. Can anyone tell me more than that - where did they come from to Samoa and when? Are there any MORESI families in Samoa now? Thank you for any help you can give me. Joan Vivian - Australia turoar@swanhill.net.au Searching for MORESI,TURIN, CAMPANA, CAMOZZI, JENKYN, HOLMES, JUDD, VIVIAN.

I am also new to this list, trying to find my genealogy. I left Samoa over 30 years ago and remembered a store called 'Fale of Molesi', or Molesi's Store in downtown Apia, the capital. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for any information on Moresi (Molesi) and email it to you. Genealogy in the Pacific is sometimes hard to find but very exciting and rewarding when you have patience. Let's hope that some experts on Samoa genealogy can help us since every information on this site have nothing on the Pacific islands. Good luck.
