Hello all! I have just learned that the 3-volume "The Salem Witchcraft Papers: Verbatim Transcripts of the Legal Documents of the Salem Witchcraft Outbreak of 1692," edited by Paul Boyer and Stephen Nissenbaum is now available on-line as eText! It's browsable and searchable (the search is a tad odd...), and it will help everyone who has not been able to locate this hard-to-find set of books: http://etext.virginia.edu/salem/witchcraft/texts/ This site also includes the eText of Burr's narratives of the trials, including the text of Cotton Mather's "Wonders of the Invisible World," Deodat Lawson's narrative, Thomas Brattle's letter, Robert Calef's "More Wonders of the Invisible World," and John Hale's "A Modest Inquiry into the Nature of Witchcraft." Happy hunting! :D Cheers, Margo Margo Burns, Webweaver [email protected] http://www.ogram.org Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana. "Colorless green ideas sleep furiously." -- Chomsky
