David Creelman suggested a website (see below) for Putnam articles. I looked at this site and see that it is all about the ancestors John Putnam, before Salem, back in England. This is nice to have, so I shall keep a note for future reference. However, it really, really really predates Salem. Someone earlier had ventured that the book "Salem Possessed," by Boyer and Nissenbaum, is out of print. Well, a new bookstore opened for business here recently, Barnes and Noble, and there, right off the shelf, was "Salem Possessed." It's back in print again, paperback, "twenty-fourth printing," and I am now $17.50 poorer.
