The Thomas and Ann PUTNAM who were involved in the Salem Witch trial were Thomas PUTNAM (jr.), son of Thomas PUTNAM & Ann HOLYOKE, and his wife, Ann CARR, along with their daughter, Ann PUTNAM. Since the Salem Witch trials took place after the deaths of Lt. Thomas PUTNAM & Ann HOLYOKE (in 1692, mostly), they could not have been directly involved. There are a number of sites which now have manuscripts of the trial proceedings posted.
