I could swear I'd read something like that about Bridget Bishop, but after an afternoon of searching the library and the web, I can find no mention of this. I found that Elizabeth Proctor was a healer and midwife, and a vague reference to Rebecca Nurse doing something of the sort, it is possible I confused this with Bridget Bishop.
