Charlie, I am researching Winifred King wife of Joseph Benham who was accused of witchcraft in 1692 & 1694 in CT. She, originally from Boston, was accused twice and acquitted both times. The second time her 13 year old daughter Winifred was also accused. They fled to Staten Island where other children were living. I have the court transcripts from New Haven, CT. Do you have this Winifred in your King genealogy? I am trying to prove her parents. There was a Mary Hale in Boston who ran a boarding house/hospital who was also accused of witchcraft. This I think was Winifred's mother as they referred to Winifred as the "daughter of the previously accused boarding house witch" of Boston. Linda M. Fitzmeyer
