    1. Re: [SALEM-WITCH-L] Genealogies
    2. Leslie and Carole, The question that Leslie posted prompted my memory. I have a copy of an article that was published in two parts in _The American Genealogist_. They were written by David L. Greene, PH. D., F.A.S.G. Part one was published in the October 1982 issue and part two was published in the January 1983 issue. It is listed in the table of contents as "Salem Witches III: Susanna Martin." The article contained quite a lot of genealogical information. I have not seen the preceding articles, but they were presumably about two other persons who were Salem victims. I don't know how many articles followed "Salem Witches III." My mother had made copies of the article in the genealogy section of the Thousand Oaks Public Library. Carole, I'm certain that an enterprising person could locate these volumes at a public library, genealogy library, family history center, etc. They contain a wealth of genealogical information. One could also obtain a current issued of this magazine (I'm assuming it is still being published) and see if it tells you how to obtain back issues. For Leslie, one of the sources for the article on Susanna is the following book. In a footnote the author cites this a reference for information on the children of Hannah Martin Wathen or Worthen. _The old families of Salisbury and Amesbury, Massachusetts_ : a reprinting of the author's full set of genealogical journals, 1897-1919 David Webster Hoyt _The old families of Salisbury and Amesbury, Massachusetts_ : with some related families of Newbury, Haverhill, Ipswich, and Hampton, and of York County, Maine David Webster Hoyt I found the above listings on Amazon.com. They are listed as out of print. Cheers, Kathy Smith
