I also hope that one thing this episode reinforces for us is the importance of intergenerational communication, especially in regard to new technologies. A computer in the home is a real temptation for kids. Parents need to learn more about the Internet if only to help guide their children. Even though it sometimes seems that the children know how to run the computers better, it is still up to the adults to teach children how to become responsible and respectful of other people living in the world around them, including the elusive world of cyberspace. Of course, we here in this list are probably more aware than most of the impact that children's unchecked behavior in the "invisible world" can have on a community! Now if I could just get kids to care more about spelling.... but this former English teacher won't go there: the spelling of our 17th century forebearers was *worse*! ;D Cheers, Margo, Your List Keeper
