While my daughter was helping me research my line of descent from Jacob Proctor, she came across some information on another of my family lines with a connection to Susannah North. George B. Martin m.1. Hannah Ramsey m.2. Susannah North I have seen information from some people say that Hannah Martin was the daughter of George & Hannah, and others say she was the daughter of George & Susannah. Sandy, As far as I know the surname of Hannah, first wife of George Martin and mother of Hannah (Martin) Worthen is unknown. Some say it may be Green, but I have never seen any substantiation. She may have died in childbirth. When Hannah (the daughter) was 3, George Martin married Susannah North who raised Hannah. I surmise that Susannah and Hannah must have been close as the name Susannah recurs in my line (Hannah Martin m. Ezekial Worthen) for several generations. The American Genealogist v. 58 and TAG v. 59 have articles about Susannah North Martin by David Greene that you may want to look at. There is also an excellent article by Joyce Pendry, Descendants of George and Margery Wathen of Salem Massachusetts that has information about Susannah's step-daughter Hannah. Hope this helps!
