Hello, I had been under the impression that the first minister in the village was Samuel SKELTON on July 20,1629, Gov. Winthrop had sent for him. As an ancestor of mine, I had thought this true. History of Essex County,1888, pg. 29. I have many on both sides of this issue in the village. Thank you for your time.
