It is no wonder that history in school books gets polluted and rewritten. You can blame the Hollywood money mongers for a great portion of that. Fiction is OK but don't fictionalize a real event and represent it as the TRUTH. I was disappointed in the lack of recognition for those who lost their lives to this dilution. You would have thought that CBS would have at least mentioned names of those who were executed in the epilog. Margo, I applaud you for going to the effort to document the trials and times of this event. I know it must be a monumental task. I pray it will dispel the drivel that was just paraded before us as "TRUTH." Speaking of truth, I believe that eight were hanged on September 22, 1692. Martha Corey, Margaret Scott, Mary Easty, Alice Parker, Ann Pudeator, Wilmott Redd, Samuel Wardwell, and Mary Parker. The CBS people said five were execute and they showed five hanging nooses over a tree limb. Am I wrong or how did CBS get it so wrong if they were being advised by a knowledgeable person? Or could it be that they got the July 19th hangings of Rebecca Nurse, Susannah Martin, Elizabeth Howe, Sarah Good, and Sarah Wildes (five women) mixed up with the eight on Sept. 22nd? George W.
