I've "rescued" an old photograph of Josephine COVINGTON WHITCANACK of Ellsworth, Kansas. The photograph appears to have been taken in the early 1900's with Josephine likely in her teens or 20's at the time. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following information regarding Josephine and her family as follows: Josephine Mary COVINGTON WHITCANACK was b. 12 Jan 1889 in Wyoming, the daughter of Henry Clay COVINGTON (1854-1922) and Josephine SAINSBURY (1864-1917). Josephine had a brother, Elbert Monroe COVINGTON b. 1885. Josephine married Willis D. WHITCANACK (1884-1950) on 20 Dec 1911 in Laporte, CO and together they had two sons, Wayne Willis b. 1913 and Henry A. "Pete" b. 1915. Josephine d. 14 Jun 1965 in Columbus, MT and is buried in the Park City Cemetery in Park City, Montana. I am hoping to locate someone from the family so that this wonderful old photograph can be returned to their care.
