I have a John Saintsbury abt 1765 - 1824 who married Ann Davis in Bedminster Bristol. I have not as yet found hs baptism/birth. He was an educated man who went to London (as a merchant ) in around 1798ish. To reply to Ann's email of May 2006 regarding James Sainsbury of Westbury. You might like to know that the 1841 Census of St. Mary, Lambeth includes this married couple: James (30 yrs.) and Sarah (25 yrs.) Sainsbury. James is a journeyman tailor, born in Westbury, Wilts.
