Thank you all for welcoming me to The Sackett Family Association. My husband's lineage includes Sackett and related families. I am sure I have lineage mixed in their somewhere as we have had this occur on several other occasions in our research. Occasionally call Owen at work to tell him we can't be married any more - that I found another intermarriage in our families and the relationships are getting to close for legal comfort (Grin). I will be posting Owen's lineage in detail, once I figure out how to do it! Question: Is there an official, or accepted by consensus, Sackett Family Crest with or without Motto? I want to start the Sackett Family Scrapbook and would like to include a pix of the Crest. I am finding doing research on the site a bit confusing. But, that should resolve itself as I become more familiar with the site and the data. What tends to confuse me are conflicts between my previous data and what I am seeing on the site. Not always sure just which data to include as Fact, and what is still undergoing research. I work on our genealogies in spurts. More so with winter coming on as we live in Wisconsin and I have a lot of indoor time for genealogy and other cozy indoor pursuits from now until sometimes May. I have become the family genealogist for all of our family - they are looking forward to reading the "books" and not so much interested in doing the research!! Anyone identify with that?
