I am looking for information related to David Frederick Sackett b. Nov., 1882, in Wisconsin [per 1900 census]. 1900 Census; Bloomer, Chippewa County, Wisconsin Series: T623 Roll: 1780; Sheet No. 7B; 15 June, 1900 147/147 Raven, John V., Head, W, M, Oct 1848, 57[sic], M, 15, New York, New York, New York, Farmer Raven, Eda B. Wisconsin, New York, New York, Farm Laborer It appears that the information I have for him is incorrect. I have his parents as Eldred E. Sackett and Anna Montgomery. However, Eldred did not marry Anna Montgomery until 18 July 1896. I have the record of Eldred E. Sackett's marriage to Mary Jane O'Brien on 18 July 1902. In the 1910 census Eldred's wife Mary Jane (age 56) reports that she had given birth to 13 children with 6 living. The census image I have isn't very clear so it is hard to tell whether Eldred reported 2 or 3 marriages while Mary Jane reported 2 marriages. Back to David Frederick Sackett On 28 Jan 1902, David F. married Ellen M. Smith, (aka) Maude Ellen. https://familysearch.org/pal:/MM9.1.1/XRPC-6M5 Wisconsin, Marriages, 1836-1930 Groom's Name: David F. However, she would probably have been his step-mother. I haven't found David F. and Ellen in the 1910 census. However, it appears that David died, or deserted his wife, before 1920 when, in the Willis H. T. Turney household, his wife is Maude E., b. Abt 1888 in Iowa. Two children are listed; Eddie W?. Sackett, Step-son, age 12, born Wisconsin, Father; Wisconsin, Mother; Iowa Gladys L. Sackett, Step-daughter, age 11, born Wisconsin, Father; Wisconsin, Mother; Iowa Eddie Sackett appears to be Edison Edward (aka) Edward Edison Sackett that I have listed as a son of David Frederick Sackett. Is there a record of David Frederick Sackett's death? Did he possibly die in WWI? Any help will be appreciated. Thurmon
Okay, here's what I know without looking at my folders at home. David was the son of Eldred and Helen Anna Montomery. They were married in January of 1882 and David was born in November of 1882. David died January 28, 1913 in Boyd, Edson, Chippewa, Wisconsin of Valvular Heart Disease. He is buried at St. Joseph's cemetery in Boyd, Edson, Chippewa, WI. He left his wife and two children (Edward/Edison/Eddie and Gladys L.) I don't know why you don't have this information. Who is asking for it? They would be related to my husband indirectly. I would love if you gave them my email address skroehl@charter.net Kari Roehl On Oct 30, 2012, at 3:41 PM, Thurmon wrote: > I am looking for information related to David Frederick Sackett b. Kari, I don't know why I didn't have the information. I am now wondering where I got the marriage date I have for Eldred and Anna. No wonder I was confused !! I was contacted by a Don Dyer whose granddaughter is engaged to a descendant of Lisa Delores Sackett (dau. of Edward Edison Sackett). Lisa Delores is said to have married a man with the surname Tubbs. Don was looking for the name of the wife of Edison Edward Sackett. I found her name, Carol Thomas, in the 1930 census. The last census I found for Edward and his wife was the 1940 census and they had 5 children, but none of them were named Lisa Delores. I am waiting for a response from Don with the birthdate for Lisa Delores.
