Kair, For the best info (been awhile since I did it and I went there and copied them myself) go to http://www.archives.gov/veterans/military-service-records/pre-ww-1-records.html if the link doesn't work www.archives.gov is the root. I know they used to have a flat rate but if they still do it has gone up as with most things to cover costs, if anyone lives in DC or goes there that is cheapest way to do it. Before you head over though double check I didn't do it already. I had a lofty goal once of getting them all, maybe this winter I will get the ones I don't think I ever got on line but for now you can check what I do have rootsweb http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~sackettmckayhistory/LiesasLineage/MilitaryRecords.htm if this link doesn't work search Liesa's Lineage on google and it comes right up.
