Well, since my hard drive failure I have been going through my recovered data and files I had saved to CDs before the failure and in the process I found a message that was sent to Nancy and she posted it to the SACKETT-L on Mon, 29 Nov 1999. The message was sent to Nancy by Linda Howorth of Grand Rapids, MI. Linda gave her Sackett line from Simon Sackett, Jr. down through; 766-Rev. Nathaniel Sackett m. Margaret Lazier and their son, 1904-Richard Sackett b. 28 Jul 1825. Linda shows this Richard Sackett as being married to a woman named Lydia and having a son, Richard Jefferson Sackett who later moved to MI. After I found this message I discovered that I had entered Linda's information in my database but had not attached her Richard Sackett to 766-Rev. Nathaniel so it appears that I had some question about the relationship at that time. According to information Barbara Bell sent, 766-Rev. Nathaniel Sackett was in the process of moving his family from Cornwall, Orange Co., NY to MI in 1834 and the family was wintering over in Benton, Yates Co., NY when the Rev. became ill and after about four weeks he died on 8 Nov 1834. So this family was in Yates county in 1834 and it appears that some of the family remained in the county for a while. But the information I have found for the family of Thomas J. Sackett seems to indicate that Richard J. Sackett was his grandson rather than the grandson of 766-Rev. Nathaniel Sackett. Anyone have any ideas? Thurmon
