Thurmon, We have some material on the families of the children of Nathaniel and Margaret Lazier Sackett, mostly in the form of photographs with some of their names, but I have not come across anything on son Richard. While on the subject of this family, our old copy of the Sacketts book has a few corrections written in long ago by my family. One is for the name of the wife of Nathaniel's brother Benjamin (#767). According to our notes, Benjamin's wife was Catherine Lazier (sister of Nathaniel's wife Margaret??) and their son John H. Sackett (#1907) married Augusta Jones, on Feb. 3, 1858. (Weygant mistakenly has John married to Catherine.) We have a letter to one of my gt-gt-aunts referring to the fact that she was staying with " Augusta and John" and the 1880 Census has John H. Sackett married to Augusta J. Sackett, with a nephew John Jones living with them in Elmira, NY. There is a record of Margaret Sackett administering the estate of Nathaniel, in Yates in the year following his death, I believe. She may have later returned to the area around Newburgh, NY.
