Hello Sackett Searchers: As Nancy indicated earlier; it appears that everyone has gotten busy with "back to school" activities and/or vacations. What ever the cause, the activity on the SACKETT-L sort of "died" and I even recieved notes asking me if there was a problem with RootsWeb's servers. But there has been plenty of activity coming my way from visitors to the Sacketts of America website and in connection with the search for information about the family of Orlin Sackett of NY and MN. I hope to have the updated information for Orlin and his descendants uploaded in a week or so; even though I believe that there will be more information coming in before long. And, as has been the case for quite some time now, Mary Lou Sackett and I have exchanged a "wad" of emails as we compare notes on the information we have on the different Sackett lines. And especially on the Sacketts who have had a connection with MIchigan. This past week I was contacted by a descendant of 583-Rolin Sackett and Lovina Edson through their son Harvey Sackett and Mary Straw, and their daughter Elizabeth Sackett and Rev. Robert Jackson Gifford [we have GRIFFIN]. There is the promise of supplying information on this line as soon as documentation is completed. Also received this past week was information for 1227-David Hammond Sackett which corrects some incorrect information for him and extends his line some.
