But for some reason it soesn't show up on the message board. So I'll try again. I am the one who maintains the Sacketts of America website. We are still in the process of researching this family and trying to determine the ancestry of Orlin. At present we are not certain what the surname of Orlin's 2nd wife was. Her name has been presented as: 1. Mandy Dans [by Brad Sackett] but the 1880 census gives the name of Orlin's wife as Ann, 2. Mina Schofield; although this appears to be Orlin's daughter Nina/Mina who is said to have married a Schofield and I haven't gotten the change made on the website. 3. Ann Birch was a name which came from a WorldConnect database of Denise Matson. [database: dmatson] Denise has now changed the information in her database to show Orlin's 2nd wife simply as Ann E. ____. The Birch marriage appears to have been Orlin's son, Elton, who married Nellie Birch. It appears that you may have provided us with the answer to that puzzle. One of the researchers of this family recently obtained a copy of the death certificate of George, [Orlin's son with his first wife]. The death certificate indicates that the surname of Orlin's first wife was Johnson, not Stephens. So her name was Lucinda Johnson. She died in October 1856 and is buried in Fairview Cemetery, Naples, Ontario Co. NY. You indicated that you have a death date for Orlin. We would love to have that information to include in our SACKETT database. And any other information you might have that relates to this family.
