When compared with the 1820 census, it would appear that his age here should be 40-50. We now know that the death certificate for Orlin's son, George says that the surname of George's mother was Johnson, not Stevens/Stpehens. Now, to jump to the census info you provided: July 1860, Roscoe, Goodhue, Minnesota, page 684 family #53 William Sackett, age 44, born N.York, Farmer Elizabeth " , age 42, born Arkansas Francis " (M), age 16, born Ill., Farmer Ellen " , age 13, born Ill. Albert " , age 1, born N.York family #55 Alden Sackett, age 33, born " , Farmer George " , age 11, born " Sarah " , age 8, born " When one compares the ages of William, age 44 (9b. abt 1816), Simon age 30 (b. abt 1830), and Alden/Orlin age 33-36 (b. abt 1824) with the ages to the three sons in the household of Zelotas given in the censuses above ... These three fit.!! And I agree with you that the William Sackett in Warren Co., NY in the 1850 census is the same one as is found in Goodhue Co., MN in 1860. What do you Orlin descendants think?
