Sue, With all the SACKETT males in John W.'s family, hopefully we'll have at least one to assist in identifying John SACKETT, The Colonist!! Whoopee!~ Thanks so much for your wonderful interest in genealogy! I too wish I could share what I have learned about the MANY families they had NO IDEA they were related, with my parents and especially my Aunt Hazel (our family storyteller). They would be absolutely amazed!! :) Please do not hesitate to ask me ANYTHING you do not understand. Hi Nancy, I do not mind a bit that you forwarded my e-mail. In answer to your question, "Yes" we have two son's, also my husband comes from a family of 10 children, 7 boys, 3 girls. There are 30 plus children from all of those marriages and the number of grandchildren run in the teens right now. I have to digest everything else you have told me. I am very new at genealogy, my sister is into it heavy duty, so she has helped me get started. Also, I frequently write to Mary Lou Sackett, she has been wonderful helping me. I am not sure about all the things you have told me about, but will try to answer or reply to everything as soon as possible. I am totally amazed how easy it was to find our Sackett's online with just a little research. The click of the right button has really been fruitful. My sister is so jealous, she has knocked herself out for years doing our parents family. She lives in Colorado and has access to Mormon libraries, including Salt Lake City, just a few hours away. I am in Florida. My father in law, Milford J Sackett was always interested in his family history but never even knew his Grandfather's name, he died the same year his Grandfather was born. He would be in awe at all of this. It is a pity. I will be writing again soon, please feel free to ask me anything, any time you want.
