He is survived by children, Frederick Sackett, Butler, GA and Dianne Roper of McDonough, GA. Granddaughters, Stacey Roper, Tallahassee, FL and Jennifer Sackett, Columbus, GA. Mr. Sackett was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Vivian Rainwater Sackett in 1997. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, October 5 at 3:30 at Wages & Sons Chapel with Dr. Dan Parker officiating. Mr. Sackett served on the Stone Mountain City Council, Member of the First Baptist Church, served on the Dekalb County Planning Commission, Member of the Lions Club, Vice-President of the Homeowners Association of Regency Towers, Destin, FL and Honor Graduate of Georgia Tech.
