Dear All, I give below a list of the items copied at SLC from the early Newtown (Long Island) records. I will gradually get transcripts of these documents posted to the List but if there are any special requests I will do those first. There are 3 volumes of these records - Vol 1 containing the Court records, and Vol 2, Parts 1 and 2 containing the Town records. These books are transcriptions made in 1940-41 of the original records. It is noted that the pages are not in date order, indicating that the original records would have been in loose leaf rather than book format.
