Hi Sackett Searchers: While entering information from "A History of the William Dean Family" for the family of 1502-Myron Sackett, m. Orpha Dean; I have run across what appears to be an error in Weygant's book for their grand daughter, 6574-Charlotte Minerva Austin. Weygant shows that she married Clark S. Talmadge. The Dean family history has on page 45: "55. Charlotte Minerva Austin4, b. in Newton Falls, Sept. 15, 1854; m. Aug. 25, 1886, to Clark Sackett, farmer, Talmadge; b. in Talmadge, May 15, 1837." The 1880 census for Tallmadge, OH has: Tallmadge, Summit, Ohio FHL Film 1255069 National Archives Film T9-1069 Page 423D Clark A. SACKET Self M W W 43 OH Farmer CT --- Charles E. SACKET Son M S W 18 OH At Home OH OH Lucy M. SACKET Niece F S W 30 OH Keeping House OH OH Clark A. Sacket is listed as age 43 [b. 1837 which matches the birth date given above]. He is a widower. >From this it would appear that Weygant, or his publisher, managed to convert Clark Sacket of Talmadge into Clark S. Talmadge. Now, does anyone have information as to who this Clark A. Sackett is? Thurmon
