The facts known for Aaron is that he married in Litchfield Co., CT on 6 Jul 1786, Phebe Hart (b. 3 May 1763 or 1764). Vital records and the Federal 1790 and 1800 censuses show that Aaron and Phebe had 7 children born in Litchfield Co., CT after which they moved to Vermont about 1803. It's interesting to note that the Hart Genealogy ("Genealogical History of Deacon Stephen Hart and his Descendants, 1632-1875," Alfred Andrews, 1875), p. 384, has all of the 12 children of Timothy and Martha (LEE) HART, including Phebe, but the book does not give her husband's given name - it just reads: Phebe, born May 3d, 1763; married - Sackett. However, her sister's husband's name is fully written out - Benjamin Baldwin. (There were only two girls in the family). Incidentally, it appears as if several of Phebe (Hart) Sacketts' brothers went to Wallingford, VT, too - Joel, Amos, and Amasa. Two other brothers, Jesse and Ebenezer, were in Rutland County at one point, but the book doesn't specifically say which town. They both eventually migrated further west. Kathy
Hi All As I mentioned a few days ago I photo-copied the micro-film owned by the LDS regarding the Connecticut State Library located at Hartford. The Vital Records that I copied was part of the segment referred to as SA-SAG. The records start out with a card reading SACKETT, SACKET, SACKETTE, SACKIT, SAKET, SOCKETT. All the cards have a round punch hole in the center near the bottom as is per standard for library files. All the cards have the same format listing surname at left top of card followed by given name, below which is a description/information. The area/place is in the right bottom corner below which The words VITAL RECORDS is written and below that the vol. and page is listed. I will attempt to copy as closely as possible what is written on the cards a few at a time. 1, SACKIT, A[a]ron s. Jonathan, b. Aug. 5, 1735 : d.
