I have been asked about the posting of members' email addresses on the new TSFA website SackettFamily.info. As a precaution against harvesting by spammers all email addresses in the Register of Members and in the rest of the website are protected by substituting JavaScript for the actual e-mail address. You cannot tell that the e-mail address is hidden by viewing the page in a browser. You must look at the HTM file using a text editor. I am advised that the protection (which I have borrowed from Second Site, the program I use for the Register) is good although the script could be cracked by a harvester prepared to go to a lot of trouble.
