    3. Kari: Well, you've managed to "dig up" another "new guy" for us to make a connection for !! After I read your post, I spent several hours looking for a connection for Dr. Howard Treat Sackett. I believe I finally found the connction but will need a couple of census reports before we can know whether or not my theory is credible. The items in the articles you posted which give vital clues are; 1) He was born in Tallmadge, OH; 2) There were 5 brothers and four sisters in his parents' family; 3) Dr. C. C. Sackett of Tallmadge, OH was one of his brothers. In my searching I found the following family in the 1880 Census; Tallmadge, Summit, Ohio FHL Film 1255069 National Archives Film T9-1069 Page 418A Hiram A. Sackett in the 1880 census has a son named Charles C. (C. C.) Sackett listed as one of three sons along with three daughters. The 1850 census gives the name of a fourth daughter. If we can get the census data for Hiram's family in 1860 and 1870 we should be able to determine whether or not Howard T. was one of his sons.
