Hello all, I am researching my husband's Sackett family who came from Jefferson Co. NY. I would like to confirm what I have found and also see if anyone on this list is connected to the family. Here is what I have so far. Lydia M. Sackett b. Oct 1861 Forest Illinois who is my husband's great grandmother. Her parents were James Sackett b. Jul 1822 in Sacketts Harbor NY and Ursula Makepeace b. 1823 or 1827 in Jefferson Co. NY. According to Ursula's application for 2nd marriage in IL, her parents were Solomon Makepeace and Jane Kronk (or Cronk/Cronkheit). On Jefferson Co. web site I found the marriage of James Noble Sackett b. 1819 and Ursula Makepeace b. 1823 and married 1844. I would like to confirm this information. Also who were the parents of James Sackett. I think they may be a William Sackett b. 1788 and Sabrina ? b. 1800. I hope someone on the list is connected to this family. Many thanks for your help.
