I was looking at some abstracts of wills for early New York that Cornel University has online in their Historical Literature Section.( I think this collection has been referenced on the list before) In reading the abstract , it referred several times to daughter Potine Sackett. As all the rest of Joseph's children, save Simon, (who ran off with that wench Miss McGaw to New Jersey so was cut off from the family) are mentioned in the abstract. This appears to be the same abstract that is in Weygant, pages 22 & 23, except for this different name and a few other spelling differences. Has anyone knowledge of Patience as Potine. Seems a stretch to say it's an error in transcription since the name is repeated several times. Tom
