Katherine, I have been away for a few days with family. I have copied SACKETT-L with this message so they may read your message below. I hope you will consider joining us again soon. FYI. We have organized The Sackett Family Association (TSFA) and are planning our first family gathering in Salt Lake City mid September. I noticed on the "Subscribers" list that you showed interest in an association during a survey on the subject. Let me know if you'd like to be subscribed to SACKETT-L again and to join the free TSFA! We love to have you as a member! I have lost track of others researching this line. I have new information on Almeron Sackett's wife's family. Rachel White's brother, Elisha jr, b. 1778 NY. He is living with his son's family, Leonard P White in Genesse Allegany co NY in 1860. He says he was born in "onandagua". This wasn't a county in 1778, but I do find an Elisha White in 1779 tax list Albany co NY, parts of this county later became Onandago co NY. I can be contacted directly at kjrussell@onewest.net for further information on this White family. Almeron Sackett b. 1771 ct>lived with brother (not proven) William in Vt 1790, found in Lycoming pa 1798 to 1800, Allegany co NY 1808, then moved west.
