    3. I thought I should forward this note to Sackett-L along with my apologies for cluttering the list with irrelevant Sackville stuff. Thanks, Chris, for kindly bringing me up to speed! And, again, apologies to all for the misposts. -- Ted ----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Sackett" <chris@sackett.org.uk> To: "Ted Smith" <tcsmith@surewest.net> Sent: Thursday, May 20, 2004 1:50 PM Subject: Re: [SACKETT-L] Sackville notables: Charles Sackville, poet > Ted, > > I thought I would jump in before you expend a huge amount of energy chasing > down the Sackville route. I am so proud to be a Sackett, I loved and still do, my Grandma Iown Belle Saclkett and my Great-Grandma Emma Maria Hughes Sackett , they were always so kind, and good to me when I was young. My Grandma Sacket , when would come to visit , would always give me and my brother, Jimmie Ray ,each a big silver dollar , to take to the store, and buy candy and fireworks. She never got angry with us, for shooting our fire works, and woiuld tell her daugther, my Grandma Crain, to let us play , when she would complained. I love the homemade applesauce, with the large chunks of apple and the apple butter, so good, I can still never have enough. My Sacketts were all hard working , moral and religious people, and always strived to make a difference, and did. How can not be proud of such wonderful and good people, and not hope that, I can do as well, with my live , as they did with theirs. God Bless All, your cousin , Charles
